In this work, the washing machine’s chamber is magnified into an enterable, toy-like space. Its surface appears molded from clay, carrying a childlike tenderness and absurdity. Through the circular opening, a pink “Patrick Star” spins endlessly inside—a motion suspended between cartoonish humor and existential dread. Like a hamster wheel, the repetition is futile and inescapable, revealing a quiet despair beneath its lighthearted form. Using the language of play, the work constructs a gentle trap. The perpetually rotating Patrick becomes a symbol of the modern self—washed, smoothed, and reshaped within the tumbling drum of consumer society. It is a metaphor for meaningless labor, mechanical routine, and emotional exhaustion.
